Paintings

So I started painting a few sco ish things on some A4 sheets.

The set up.

A few drying on the floor.

Here’s one of the sco men.

A faint sco wave.

Sco script followed by the name.

The first sco man I painted.

Here’s the first water coloured sco man.

Representing Deep Blue Sack Dot Com.

My life consists of wanting a stache, photography, skateboarding, A4 paper, wooden tables, and white walls.

I practice cursive secretly in my spare time.

Renewed
November 20, 2009

I changed the grip up a bit so why not the whole thing?

Started off by covering the enuff logo.

Back in black.

Covered the yellow on top too. It looks a bit like alex from aside’s deck except with blue instead of green bits.

I’m pretty stoked with the result.

Soothing
November 19, 2009

There are a few things that make me feel awesome in a calm way. Shaping is one of them but today I did a bit of gripping which gives a similar feeling.

Scalpel?

SCO!

Done. What to do with the waste?

Put it within hideous blue griptape.

It looks a bit more interesting now.

Pop Up Flash Ain’t So Bad
November 19, 2009

It might not make a “professional” picture but what is a professional picture anyways? I got my package from the boys at Toobbox. The contents were the following plus an XXXXL heartogram tshirt.

Here’s the envelope. Pretty crazy that they spent 12.95 to send me the merch.

Some griptape.

Wax.

No they didn’t send me paint, but I do want to start painting.

Procrastination
November 17, 2009

So I need a break from class.

So I draw stuff on Photoshop using CMYK and a very dark blue. [Excuse the wobbly lines I just used my trackpad.]

Wilson!
November 17, 2009

A few things happened today: I left the Wilson house. I learned that there’s a little green dot that appears in the bottom corner of my view finder when something is in focus(At the mo I only use manual lenses).

I did not leave this mess when I left. My life fits in two dakine backpacks.

I scored this robot cut out mdf jobbie in school today. The girl who created it is a legend.

Empty Park
November 16, 2009

Ben, Endy, Sam and I went to Stithians for a little sesh today. A few games of skate and some spills. It was good to take a break from my project.

Windows
November 15, 2009

Yesterday was the first time I ever surfed Swanpool beach. It was uber offshore and the crowd factor was redic. There were no rules any more. People were dropping in on one another left and right.

curtains scosurfWhile I was working on my laptop I looked at the window. Thought the texture in the curtains would make a cool shot with some backlight.

gylly-mini-right scosurfWe left the house pretty early and checked Swanpool. It looked rank so we checked Gylly and saw this mini right but weren’t too keen.

blue-shades scosurfWe went to Jan’s afterwards. Had another opportunity to shoot another window. Sick shade of blue.

coasters scosurfJan’s girlfriend picked up some coasters with wicked illustrations on them.

sitting-bear scosurfIt really looks like the house of art students.

duckdiving-a-right scosurfWe went back to Swanpool to sesh it. It looked awesome for a Falmouth break.

splashography scosurfWe left because of the crowds. Here’s a splashing shot.

gylly-left scosurfHere’s a Gylly Reef left.

way-to-the-park scosurfWe booked tickets for 2012 which was an awesome movie. Since we had 2 hours to kill we went for a skate at the Maritime parking lot.

Blind Surf
November 11, 2009

Today we arrived at Perranporth for a second time after checking Crantock and after I put on my wetsuit, I realized I was wearing my glasses. I don’t carry a spare pair of contacts with me so I was going to surf blind… I was pretty freaked out because they waves looked big from far away but as soon as I rode the first wave I was stoked. It was a totally different feeling when you’re riding a wave but you only see vague shapes.

perranporth-down-teh-line scosurfLong lines. Super glassy.

crantock scosurfWe went to Perranporth once and Joe wasn’t satisfied so we checked Crantock and that was pants so we went back to Perranporth.

pasta-baking scosurfI usually make pasta bakes for dinner at Ben’s, maybe because it was the first thing his mom ever made me.

giant-pasty scosurfBen had a giant pasty.

pasta-cheeseball scosurfA wider angle of my meal.

big-pasty scosurfTo test a pasty’s ready-to-eat-ness it’s best to drill a hole, extract a potato and eat it. If it’s good then the pasty is good.
