I changed the grip up a bit so why not the whole thing?
Started off by covering the enuff logo.
Covered the yellow on top too. It looks a bit like alex from aside’s deck except with blue instead of green bits.
First time at Mabe. Brought my old school and that didn’t work out too well at the park so I had a go on Ben’s board. It was sicckkk.
The way the human body warps in long exposures.
I should use the viewfinder more often.
Gotta get a few shots of reopened scabs in this blog.
Phil busting an old school air on my old school sco board.
Phil going crazy about his renewed battle wound.
A five second exposure of a skateboarder.
Whenever you see a green flash right before the sun goes down, it means a soul has come back from the dead. In this case it just means there’s an Asda near the skatepark.
Got a new room this year. Same house, different floor.
My proud line up of skate shoes from tech to mid tech to lo tech.
Just gotta slap some trucks and wheels onto the middle board.
This thing should keep me warm through the cold Cornish winters.
Alex from Aside gave me a pair of shoes that were too small for him. They’re vegan.
I made another deck today. This time I used poplar wood. It was pretty thick so I planed it down a couple of times. Not the flexiest of boards but it’s made for cruising. This is probably my cleanest board yet.

The default four stripes that rep SCO! Took out the dark blue and replaced it with a light brown.
Thought about making another surfboard. Ended up making a skateboard deck. This is the second time I’ve made a deck with fiberglass. The last time I made one was about four years ago. The skills and techniques I gained from building surfboards definitely sped up the process. I’m extremely happy with the result.
Like a surfboard, it always starts with a template.
The rails were rounded with a surform planer and sandpaper.
Cardboard boxes are pretty essential for making decks. This is the spray station.
I thought white would look nice under the resin
Colours look better on white when you’re going for a retro look.
Sco close up with some posca trials.
Mitch was repairing the fins on a board he made while I worked my deck.
Lam failure. I actually like the way it looks.
Successful lam attempt on the buttom.
I placed the trucks on the deck to see what the finished board would look like. It looked mint.
I stole Matt’s grip that’s been laying in the garage all summer. Cut a slit to show the subtle SCO!
About to take a trip. Taken by Stevo.
And it was pretty sick. Taken by Stevo.
Here’s everything in my quiver at the mo. I think I’m going to shape one more board then I’m done before I go back to England.

Last summer a guy at the Frog House asked me if I was only looking for blue boards. The answer still is yes. (4’6 Stub, 5’6 Peanut Alaia, 5’6.5 Thruster, 5’8 Single Fin, 7’0 Hullish, Enuff Skateboard, Mini board)
